SPEAKER_00:

Hello, and welcome to Let's Talk About It Podcast. I am your host, Apostle Rosemary of RCN Ministries and OSGA Apostolic Network. On today, we're continuing with our season five series, Unshaken. On last month, my husband, Apostle Herbie, and I spoke with you all on the topic built to last, raising a legacy, not just the family. On today, we're going to continue with that series, focusing on the topic, focus forward. Don't look back now. So we're going to really put on spiritual blinders, and we're going to understand that we have to keep our focus forward and don't look back now. Let our past be behind us and let us focus on what God has that lies ahead of us. Okay. So just to kind of touch up and recap, so to speak, on what it meant last month topic when we dealt with built to last, raising a legacy, not just a family. It dealt with parenting with eternity in mind. And at that time, we began to understand and we begin to talk within that dialect of the last month's podcast. We began to understand that family is what you build, but legacy is what remains. I'm going to say that again. That family is what you build, but legacy is what remains. My God. Amen. On today, I will be solo. Apostle Herbie will join me again next month. He sends his love and adoration and continued prayers to all of you globally. So when we begin to just reflect on last month, the the two of the things and two areas that we spoke to you all on to just reflect and to respond on were two things. What do I want my children or future generations to say about me spiritually? And then the second thing was, what spiritual habits do I need to model more consistently? Okay. So on today, we're moving forward. And again, this topic is going to be us dealing with focus forward. Don't look back now. So we're we're learning about on today letting go of the past so you can move forward fully into what's next. We cannot move forward into the things of God that is next if we are continually, continually looking back on the things that lie behind us. We have to understand that what God has ahead of us, that what is coming is far greater than what we're leaving behind. My husband and I, Apostle Herbie, just finished up a three-part series with our church. And the topic on the three-part series was they not like us. And we began to, and every part of this was to speak to the body of Christ to understand that God separates holy from unholy, and that we cannot mix, and there cannot be a mixture within the body of Christ. And so we came from really laying down the foundation and the blueprint and moving forward to show the body of Christ that when it comes down to delineation, when it comes down to separation, and when it comes down to demarcation, this is all scriptural. And we laid it out line upon line, precept upon precept, but we begin to under to tell the people the difference when God begins to separate the wheat from the counterfeit Christian. And that then, you know, and when God begins to separate the the wheat from the tares, and all of this, we may look the same, we may grow the same for a season, but then when it's time for harvest, when it's time for God to move to the next phase of life and the next phase of kingdom movements, then God is going to separate what is holy from what is unholy. My God, what is the remnant? What is the wheat from the tares? And so that is just powerful all by itself, and it has been a blessing to just sit down and and and to scribe what heaven has been saying to us. And Apostle Herbie and I, we've got all of those, all three series, parts of that series. It is on our YouTube channels, which is RCN Ministries Global TV on YouTube, as well as Apostle Rosemary, RCN and O S G A, I think is the way that my personal YouTube channel says. So they're both on there. If you have a chance, get you have time, go on, listen to it. There's scripture to it. We're laying it out. And it's not saying that there's something wrong with someone else, but it what we're laying out is the principle of what scripture says and who we are and what we are to be focused on and not trying to manipulate or not trying to be deceptive within the body of Christ. Or so there are principles to delineation, separation, and demarcation. Amen. So we're going to go ahead and move on today with this next podcast. So we can go ahead and lay this out line upon line, precept upon precept. So, first of all, I want to say welcome again to season five episode on today that we're going to be sharing with you to just keep your focus forward and don't look back now. It's time to keep plowing, it's time to keep moving forward in the things of God, it's time to keep obeying the will of God for our lives. Amen. And so that is what we are going to do, people of God. We're going to be obedient to the will of God and we're going to keep moving forward into what God is doing in our lives and where God is taking us in the now. Amen. All right. So when we're looking at what God is telling us in this episode of the podcast here on Let's Talk About It, when we're letting go of the past so that you can move fully forward into what's next. My God. You know, it's amazing to me when God begins to say, you can't step into what's next while holding your hands with what was behind you. My Lord. So in other words, you can't move forward with your hands full of yesterday's woes, yesterday's problems, yesterday's battles, unforgiveness, and all of these different things. You can't hold on to that and think that you're going to move forward in the things of God. Amen. So we're going to look at Philippians chapter 3, verses 13 to 14, when it tells us that we are to be forgetting what is behind, my God, and I press on. Okay, so we're looking at the full scripture here. And in Philippians chapter 3, verses 13 to 14, and it says, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before me. I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. So, in other words, I'm letting go of the things that have held me captive. I'm talking to my brethren. Who are my brethren? My brethren are my brothers and my sisters, my God. And so we have to understand that we I have to to myself, I count not myself to have apprehended. So, in other words, I am not a bag of chips, all that in a bag of chips, and I do not consider that I have made it on my own. I haven't made it yet, and I will never make it. I am being perfected in the things of God, my Lord. But the one thing we have to understand is this that I have to understand the forgetting what lies behind and keep reaching forward to what lies ahead of me. Because this is the reason that I press on toward the goal to win the heavenly prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. My God. So we need to understand, people of God, that we need to let go of what has held us captive, what have held us in bondage, what has held us stagnated, what has held us in a place of perpetual going around the same issues and having the same problems. Remember, the wall of Jericho did not fall down flat until the seven times. Once they followed the instructions of the Lord, they were just marching around the other six times. But on the seventh time, the instructions were given that you know what you're gonna have to lift up the praise, you're gonna have to let out a shout, you're gonna have to go in, you're gonna have to go all in for what you want. So it goes to this point here. We have to understand that when we focus forward and we don't look back now on what we have left behind us, that we get to the place that we are have a mindset change, and our mindset has shifted into a place, into a realm of how bad do I really want it? Am I ready to sacrifice anything in anybody that is standing in my way that is hindering the purpose God has called me to for this season moving forward? What is it that I'm willing to lay down and let go in my past? I'm trying not to preach. I'm trying not to preach right here. So we look at the fact that when we are we we have to okay, let me just slow it down here. The power in the problem of looking back is this looking back can serve as a lesson, but it should never become a leash. I want y'all to catch that real quick. Let that marinate in your spirit. Looking back can serve as a lesson, but it should never become a leash. My God. When we think of a leash, what does a leash do? A leash is something that we put on our little fur babies, we we click it onto them, and we're able to control this. We're able to control where they go, how fast they go, how fast we release them versus how much we've got to pull that leash back in and rein them in. So, in other words, you need to be unleashed in this new walk with God. When you get to the point that you begin to let those things go that lie behind you and begin to push towards the mark of a higher calling in God in Christ Jesus, you begin to understand. I need to be unleashed. That's a whole nother sermon right there. My God, that's good. When we think about Lot's wife in Genesis 19 and 26, it says, but his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. Why? Because when we think about what Lot's wife did, when she looked back behind him, they had been given instructions to go to leave this place and not to look back. Why? Because that was your past, those were the past sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. So why do you want to become stagnant? Why do you want to become affixed in the past and not being able to move forward? Because that's prophetically what Lot's wife represents. She became a pillar of salt because she wanted to look back at the past that God had brought her out of, taken her into with her husband Lot. But because of disobedience, she decided to look back anyway against the instructions that God had given them. So when she looks back, there is a foolishness and a longing for what you left behind when you look back, back towards Sodom in an act of disobedience. This is why she became a pillar of salt. So ask yourselves and ponder on yourself here. My God. She became stuck where she was supposed to be leaving. That's good right there. Somebody need to write that down. Lot's wife became stuck where she was supposed to be leaving. The common thing is this right here, people of God. Look back traps. It traps us where we become stagnated. We become stagnated in regret, in resentment, in nostalgia, and in shame. That's what sin does. Sin will take you further than you want to go. Just said this in church yesterday, and keep you longer than you want to stay. That's what sin does. What disobedience does is it leaves you trapped and stuck in that very regret, that resentment, that nostalgia, and that shame of your past. Because why are you still battling? Why are you still going around the same things? You can't move forward because you're constantly looking back. Oh God, Lord help us. I'm gonna go on because I'm I'm about to preach right here. We're gonna go on. When we think about forward focus, we got to understand it requires faith. In Isaiah chapter 43, we're gonna look at this verse, verses 18 to 19. It's gonna okay, we're gonna read it first. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. My God. So, in other words, do not remember the former things, don't even ponder on the things of the past. You gotta let it go. And the Lord is saying in verse 19, when he says, Behold, another word, listen carefully. I'm about to do a new thing. Now it will spring forth. He's telling you what's getting ready to happen. Will you not be aware of it? Will you not know it? Will you not sense it? Will you not be able to discern it? My God. I will even, and God says, I will make a way where there seems to be no way. How do I do that? Because I will even put a road in the wilderness. My God, I will make a way in the wilderness, I will give direction in the wilderness. Baby, what they thought was an oasis is not an oasis, oasis, it's not a mirage. Why? Because the word of God says, and rivers in the desert. My God. In other words, I will create something where there has been no creation. God help me, Jesus. Oh, that thing good right there. Jesus. So, in other words, Isaiah 43, verse 18 through 19. Forget the former things. Why? Because God says, I am doing a new thing. Because forward focus requires faith. My God. My God. I hope this is helping somebody. God won't bless what you won't release. Somebody needs to tell somebody that. Listen, moving on from old identities, past hurts, or even past successes. You got to release these things. God can't bless you in your mess. Three things we need to think about, people of God, right here. Three things we need to think about. Listen. Listen real good here, okay? Three things, three areas we really need to think about is this. Three forward focus practices we need to apply. Remember reading the word, do and being doers of the word, meditating on the word, but then we have to put the application to work into manifestation. We can do all of that, but if we don't apply the word daily, then what are we doing? We have to do what God has told us to do according to scripture at all times. We cannot deviate from it, but we have to stand on a solid foundation and apply the word of God as well. We have to follow all of scripture. Okay, so let's get back to the three forward-focused practices, in which are this number one, release through forgiveness. Don't carry what God already covered. Renew your mind daily. New thoughts fuel new direction. Run with vision. Like Hebekah two and two says, that we are to write the vision and make it plain. Listen, okay, here it is. Habakkuk two and two. And the Lord answered me, talking to Hebakah, and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run that readeth it. So we've got Habakkuk having a conversation with the Lord. And the Lord answers back to Habakkah. What why did he answer back to Habakka? Because Habakka had been talking to the Lord. In verse 1, this is what Hebekah said. I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved by God. Listen to this. And then the Lord answers back and says, And the Lord answered me and said, talking back to the Hebekah, the Lord, write the vision and make it plain upon the tables that he may run that readeth it. So, in other words, God answers the prophet Hebekah. Hebekah is saying that he's gonna stand at my guard post. I'm not gonna move. Um, I'm gonna be a fix like uh Nehemiah was on the wall. I'm gonna stay on my guard post and station myself on the tower, and I will keep watch to see what he, the Lord, will say unto me, and what answer I will give as he, as his spokeman, excuse me, as God's spoken, when I am reproved, my God. Verse 2 says, Then the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it plainly on the clay tablets, so that the one who reads it will run with it. But let's go a little bit further. We're gonna go a little bit further. Verse 3 says, For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come to pass, it will not tarry. Listen, we know that the vision is for an appointed time, it's for a future time, but it hurries toward the goal of fulfillment and it will not fail, even though it delays, wait and wait patiently for it, because it will certainly come and it will not delay, it's gonna manifest. Somebody needs to say it's gonna manifest, my God. That's good, right there, y'all. That's good, my lord, my lord. So we begin to understand that when we write division in Habakkuk 2 and 2 and move toward it, we leave the baggage and we carry the lessons, my God. So we need to understand that, people of God. Now, listen, I just want to give you all a teaser on the next podcast, and it's gonna have we're gonna deal with the topic on to make peace with your past so you can make progress in your purpose. That's good, and to encourage others and understand this that God's best for you is ahead, not behind you. My God, we want to thank each and every one of you as our faithful listeners for walking through this very wonderful season of series five. I think we've got like one more left in the series on this, unshaken. And I'm telling you, season six is gonna be off the chain. I'm I'm not even gonna, I'm not even gonna try to tell y'all. I'll tell you um next month on the podcast, it's gonna be um straight fire, okay? So when we think about this podcast, remember people of God, focus forward, don't look back now. Letting go to grow forward, not to go, to grow forward, and the text that we use on today by biblical scriptures is Philippians 3, verses 13 to 14, Genesis 19, verse 26, Isaiah 43, verses 18 through 19, and Hebakah 2 and 2, but I jumped back and did Habakka 2 verses 1 through 3. So looking back might explain you, but it can, but it can't define you. So looking back only explains where you've come from. Remember, looking back might explain you, but it can't define you. Your past explains your journey and your process that you've gone through to get to where you are today, but it can't define your future or where God is taking you, the trajectory of where God is taking you. Three forward focused practices are these release through forgiveness, renew your mind daily, and run with vision. Reflect and respond on these. What do I need to finally leave behind? What do I need, excuse me, to finally leave behind? What is God calling me to press towards? Ask yourselves these questions. This is a reflective response, and we're gonna close with these last four questions. Number one, what if my past still affects me today? The answer to that is this that's okay, people of God. Healing is a process, but God's truth is your new standard, not your history. Use the past as a lesson, not a label. Remember, your past is your process, which is a testimony for you to be transparent to let others know if God did it for me, He's He's gonna do it for you. The second thing is this how do I know I've truly let go? The answer to that, people of God, is this when the memory no longer controls your mood, your actions, or choices, forgiveness and release don't erase, it just removes the weight. That's good. The third thing in this is this question what if I keep revisiting what I thought I let go of? The answer to that, people of God, be patient. Healing is layered. My God, my God, every time it comes up, resurrender it to God. You're growing, even if it's not instant. Remember, healing is a process, it's a process. Don't rush, don't rush what God is doing in your life. Allow God to do what he needs to do in your life so that he can produce through you what he wants to come from you to other people. Remember, everything that we go through is a process, and the process is this, men and women of God, that everything we go through, everything that we endure is not for us, but it's for those that God is calling us to. My God. The fourth question is this how do I focus forward when I'm not sure what's next? The answer is this take the next right step. Clarity comes through motion, not waiting. Trust that God reveals more as you walk in obedience. My God. My God, you've made it, people of God, through this part, this series five. We're not done yet, but just so far, you've made it through all of these different subjects and titles and podcasts we've done. We're we're dealing with the just talking of we're talking about this boldly the spirit-filled truth on faith, family, and focus, my God, which is what our podcast is structured around. And we just want to encourage you as listeners globally to don't just listen, but to live it, my God. I want to invite you, Apostle Herbie and I, to just be just take a moment to invite others to share our podcast, to leave a review if these podcasts are blessing you. God knows it speaks to us first because we have to bring the message to you all on what the heart of God is saying for us to say to the people. And when you leave that review and get ready for what's next for yourselves, get ready for the what's next. On our next podcast next month, we're going to deal with faithful in the fire, staying steady when life gets hot. My God, that's good. That's where we are right now, people of God. There's so much going on globally, but God is yet on the throne and God is yet in control. And you know what? We are standing in faith on faith because we know who God is, we know who we serve, and we know that the final word is in God, my Lord, and He is looking out for His remnant. He has listen, He has us hedged in like He did Job, and He's not going to allow anything to happen. Everything that's happening now globally had to happen to get the people of God's attention, to get the body of Christ back to holiness. There's been too much mixing of what is unholy into what is holy. We've allowed it, allowed so much of the world that has crept into the body of Christ that the church, many of the church, are starting to look and sound and move and flow and and and even compromise the unadulterated gospel to be popular, to be um known, to be liked, to be accepted in places and things that God never sent our hands to do, but he's called us to transform by impacting lives of those that are in the world to bring them into the knowledge of who God is. So we want to thank you, Apostle Herbie and I, for joining us on this morning. We look forward to talking with you guys on next month as well. We thank you for joining us. God bless you, God keep you, and we pray that this podcast blesses you real well. And remember, keep your focus forward, don't look back now because God is taking you into greater things in Christ Jesus and greater kingdom works. God bless you and God keep you. We love you. Have a great, great day.
